CDcare Terms & Conditions.
  1. Gadget(s) in the CDcare marketplace may be purchased only by paying in installments. Please visit the CDcare Website to purchase Gadget(s) on a one-time payment.

  2. All orders for purchase are subject to approval.

  3. The Installment Plan allows a buyer to pay for an order in equal consecutive installments of desired even numbers of weeks or months e.g 4 weeks, 2 months, 6 months, etc. Any duration for payment as chosen by a Buyer must run its course and the duration cannot be reviewed by the Buyer once payment starts, for instance, a Buyer who indicates an interest to purchase a Gadget(s) for a duration of say 6 months will only be entitled to request or delivery of such Gadget(s) after 3 months from the date of commencing payment and provided 50% of the purchase price has been paid.

    1. ​A Buyer who pays up 50% of the purchase price before half of the chosen duration for payment runs its course shall ONLY be entitled to request delivery when half of his chosen duration for payment is reached while a Buyer who pays up 50% of the purchase price as and when due be shall be entitled to request delivery 15 days after half of his chosen duration for payment is reached. 

    2. A chosen duration for payment may be reviewed ONLY by following the procedure below:

      1. ​A Buyer who desires to review his chosen duration for payment shall Contact CDcare via email stating a clear indication to review the chosen duration for payment and shall indicate his/her proposed new duration.

      2. The Buyer shall wait for a response from CDcare indicating whether the proposed new duration is acceptable or not. If the proposed duration for payment is acceptable to CDcare, the Buyer’s payment plan will be reviewed accordingly. Until the Buyer receives a response from CDcare that the proposed duration has been accepted, the initially chosen duration for payment shall stand and shall continue to run its course as if no request for review was made by the Buyer.

      3. CDcare solely reserves the right to review or not review the initially chosen duration for payment.

  4. Installment plans attract no processing fee, additional cost, or hidden charges but processing fees chargeable by payment gateway service providers is applicable.

  5. To subscribe to an Installment Plan on the CDCare App, Buyer is required to:​

    1. ​Register (if already registered then sign in) on the CDCare App 

    2. Click on CDBuy Button

    3. Browse through the listed Gadget(s) and select your preferred Gadget (if you cannot find your preferred Gadget(s) please click here to send us a link to your preferred Gadget(s) so we can add the Gadget(s) to the list

    4. After selecting your preferred Gadget(s), click on proceed and update your address and other required details

    5. Select either weekly or monthly installment as your preferred installment plan and your preferred duration for payment

    6. The installment amount payable either weekly or monthly (depending on your selections), the duration for installment payment and the date on which you can pick up your Gadget(s) will be automatically displayed 

    7. Click on start installment and you will be redirected to the payment gateway

    8. Enter your card details and click on pay - Please note, Buyer(s) cannot alter the terms of any installment plan selected.

    • Please note the following

      1. Buyer(s) must add his/her payment card details to enable CDcare to automate payment, failure to do so shall operate to postpone delivery of Gadget(s) ordered to when all installment payment has been completed. Please note CDcare does not store the payment card details, card details and payment are handled by the payment gateways which is either Paystack or Flutterwave.

      2. Buyer(s) who fail to add payment card details shall not be entitled to delivery of ordered Gadget(s) until the purchase price is fully paid up.

  6. Successful subscription to an installment plan is subject to approval

  7. Failure to pay an installment sum on or before the due dates entitles CDcare to terminate an active installment plan and the money already paid refunded less an amount equal to 10% of the total installment sum already paid including the initial deposit if any. No refund shall be made earlier than 30 days from the date of termination of installment plan. Where no notice of termination is communicated to the Buyer(s), and the Buyer(s) continues making payment, CDcare shall have the right to defer/delay delivery of the ordered Gadget(s) until the purchase price is fully paid up by the Buyer(s).

  8. Buyer(s) who fail to consistently pay the installment sum as and when due shall not be entitled to delivery of ordered Gadget(s) until the full purchase price is completely paid up. For the avoidance of doubt, a Buyer who fails to make payment consistently can only request for delivery after paying the last installment sum, and CDcare reserves the right not to honor any request for delivery made by such Buyer(s) before paying the last installment and to delay the delivery until the last installment has been paid by the Buyer(s).

  9. Buyers may make payment any time before the due date; however, payments will be automatically attempted on the scheduled dates from a buyer’s registered card. A Buyer’s failure to process instalment payment on or before the due date and occasions where automatically attempted payment fails shall be treated as follows,

    1. In the event that ordered Gadget(s) is yet to be delivered, Buyer’s eligibility status may be queried and the installment plan suspended for subsequent termination in line with para 7 above, or late fees charged (at the option of the buyer). Where buyer opts for late fee to be charged, a late fee of 1% of the amount due shall become chargeable immediately after the end of the due date, and a further 1% if the payment remains unpaid 10 days after the due date and every 10 days following, provided that the total late fees payable shall not exceed 2% of the original order value.​

    2. In the event that ordered Gadget(s) has been delivered, the following late fee charges shall become applicable:

      1. For weekly installments, 3% of the amount due shall become chargeable after 3 days from the date payment fell due; while​

      2. For monthly installments, 10% of the amount due shall become chargeable after 7 days from the date payment falls due

    3. There shall be no limit to late fee payable in the event that ordered Gadget(s) has been delivered.

  10. Buyer will be eligible to have Gadget(s) delivered 15 days after half of the chosen duration for payment is reached and provided 50% of the price of the ordered Gadget(s) has been paid. PLEASE NOTE THAT A BUYER WILL BE ELIGIBLE TO HAVE GADGET(S) DELIVERED ONLY IF THE BUYER HAS PAID THE INSTALLMENT SUM CONSISTENTLY AS AND WHEN DUE. FAILURE TO SATISFY THIS REQUIREMENT SHALL OPERATE TO POSTPONE DELIVERY OF ORDERED GADGET(S) TO WHEN THE FULL SALES PRICE IS FULLY PAID UP, provided always that;​

    1. all Gadget(s) purchased on Installment Plan remain property of CDcare even after Gadget(s) has been delivered to the Buyer(s) until Buyer(s) complete all installment payment.​

    2. For all intent and purposes, Buyer(s) are deemed as lenders of the delivered Gadget(s) with a right to purchase same and the installment sum paid are deemed as rent payable for the use of such Gadget(s) until the full purchase price is fully paid up.

    3. A buyer who fails to complete the installment payment loses the right to purchase the affected Gadget(s) and becomes obligated to return the Gadget(s) if already delivered to him/her.

    4. CDcare reserves the right to retrieve any Gadget(s) already delivered from the Buyer(s) where Buyer(s) defaults in paying any installment after taking delivery of the Gadget(s).

    5. CDcare shall exercise the right of retrieval without making any recourse to court or obtain any order court order, police order or any other administrative order whatsoever.

    6. CDcare may demand return of delivered Gadget(s) virtually by sending emails or placing phone-calls or physically by sending CDcare Recovery Agents to visit the Buyer(s) designated address to demand a return of the delivered Gadget(s).

    7. Upon demand by CDcare, defaulting Buyer(s) hereby agrees to promptly return all affected Gadget(s) to CDcare designated offices for such returns within 48 hours of the demand or immediately deliver the affected Gadget(s) to CDcare Recovery Agents upon the Recovery Agents visit to the Buyer’s designated location for such recovery.

    8. A Buyer who promptly returns or delivers the Gadget(s) shall be entitled to refund in line with para 14F subpara (1) to (4) below.

    9. A Buyer who fails to promptly return or deliver up the affected Gadget(s) as stated above shall be sued for criminal conversion and shall be liable to pay the cost of litigation as well as attorney’s fee for himself/herself as well as CDcare. This is in addition to all other rights which CDcare may exercise against the defaulting Buyer.

  11. Delivery of Gadget(s) purchased on Installment Plan is subject to availability of the ordered Gadget(s) as at the date at least 50% of the sales price of the ordered Gadget(s) has been paid up and not the availability as at the date of order. In the event that the ordered Gadget(s) is no longer available upon payment of at least 50% of the sales price of the ordered Gadget(s), the Buyer will be requested to choose other Gadget(s) from a list of Gadget(s) within the range or category of the Gadget(s) ordered, in the alternative, Buyer may be requested to wait a certain period in order for the ordered Gadget(s) to be procured and delivered to Buyer.

  12. The price payable on Gadget(s) purchased on Installment Plan shall be the current market price of the Gadget(s) as at the date Buyer requests for the delivery of purchased Gadget(s) and not the date the order is made by the Buyer, therefore the purchased price of any ordered Gadget(s) may be reviewed upward or downward given the current market value of the ordered Gadget(s) as at the relevant date of Gadget(s) delivery and Buyer will be required to pay the difference in the price of the ordered Gadget(s) before the ordered Gadget(s) will be delivered to Buyer. Please note that the upward or downward review of the purchased price is subject to CDcare’s discretion and delivery of Gadget(s) purchased on Installment Plan is subject to payment of the difference in the price of the ordered Gadget(s) as stated in this paragraph and in addition to other terms and conditions which Buyer must meet in order to have a successful delivery of Gadget(s) purchased on Instalment Plan.

  13. Buyer may request to have the Instalment Plan terminated at any time provided that REFUND OF ANY PAYMENTS MADE PRIOR TO THE TERMINATION DATE IS REFUNDABLE LESS AN AMOUNT EQUAL TO 10% OF THE TOTAL INSTALMENT SUM ALREADY PAID INCLUDING THE INITIAL DEPOSIT. NO REFUND SHALL BE MADE EARLIER THAN 30 DAYS FROM THE DATE OF TERMINATION OF INSTALMENT PLAN.

  14. a)BUYER MUST WARRANT THAT EACH PAYMENT SHALL BE MADE ON OR BEFORE ITS DUE DATE IN ORDER TO SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE THE INSTALLMENT PLAN AND RECEIVE THE ORDERED GADGET(S) ACCORDING TO THE TERMS AND CONDITION HEREIN CONTAINED. ​b) FAILURE TO MAKE ANY PAYMENT AS AND WHEN DUE SHALL OPERATE TO AUTOMATICALLY TERMINATE INSTALLMENT PLAN AND BUYER’S ORDERED GADGET(S) MAY BE SOLD TO ANY OTHER PERSON WITHOUT RECOURSE TO THE BUYER WHOSE INSTALMENT PLAN WAS TERMINATED. c) BUYER FURTHER UNDERSTANDS THAT REFUND OF ANY INSTALMENT PAYMENTS MADE PRIOR TO THE TERMINATION DATE IS REFUNDABLE LESS AN AMOUNT EQUAL TO 10% OF THE TOTAL INSTALMENT SUM ALREADY PAID INCLUDING THE INITIAL DEPOSIT. d) BUYER FURTHER UNDERSTANDS THAT FAILURE TO MAKE ANY PAYMENT BY ITS DUE DATE WILL RESULT IN HIS OR HER ELIGIBILITY BEING QUERIED AND MAY NO LONGER BE ABLE TO CONTINUE WITH THE INSTALMENT PLAN UNLESS THE BUYER IS CLEARED BY A CDCare AGENT AFTER CONSENTING TO BEING CHARGED ACCORDING TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS HEREIN CONTAINED. e) IN THE EVENT OF REFUND, NO REFUND SHALL BE PAID EARLIER THAN 30 DAYS FROM THE DATE OF TERMINATION OF INSTALMENT PAYMENT WHETHER TERMINATION WAS DUE TO THE BUYER’S REQUEST OR BUYER’S FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE TERM OF INSTALMENT PLAN PRIOR TO DELIVERY OF GADGET(S). f)FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE TERMS OF INSTALMENT PAYMENT AFTER GADGET(S) HAS BEEN DELIVERED TO BUYER SHALL BE TREATED AS FOLLOWS:

    1. THE GADGET(S) DELIVERED SHALL BE WITHDRAWN FROM THE BUYER

    2. THE GADGET(S) SHALL BE SOLD OFF AS USED GADGET(S). CDCARE IS NOT UNDER ANY OBLIGATION TO SELL THE USED GADGET(S) AT A REASONABLE PRICE.

    3. THE UNPAID BALANCE OF THE INSTALMENT SUM SHALL BE DEDUCTED FROM THE AMOUNT THE GADGET(S) IS SOLD

    4. ALL COST INCURRED IN WITHDRAWING AND SELLING THE GADGET(S), SHALL EQUALLY BE DEDUCTED FROM THE BALANCE OF THE AMOUNT THE GADGET(S) IS SOLD

    5. WHATEVER IS LEFT AS THE BALANCE OF THE AMOUNT THE GADGET(S) IS SOLD AFTER THE ABOVE DEDUCTIONS HAS BEEN MADE SHALL BE REFUNDED TO THE BUYER, PROVIDED THAT NO REFUND SHALL BE MADE WHERE NOTHING IS LEFT OF THE SALES PRICE OF THE USED GADGET(S).

    6. IN THE EVEN OF REFUND, NO REFUND SHALL BE PAID EARLIER THAN 30 DAYS FROM THE DATE THE WITHDRAWN GADGET(S) IS SOLD OFF AS USED GADGET(S).

  15. There shall be no discounted sales, Black Friday sales, clearance sales, discount, bonus, bonanza or promo sales for items purchased via the CDBuy Instalment Plan.

  16. Buyer must execute an agreement stipulating the terms and conditions of his/her order. By executing the said Agreement, Buyer represents and warrants that he/she is eligible to subscribe to the Installment Plan. Subscription to the Instalment Plan services shall be void where Buyer is found to be ineligible.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible to subscribe to the Installment Plan, a buyer must:

  1. Be a registered user of the CDCare App.

  2. Be 18 years old and above

  3. Be resident in Nigeria

  4. Be capable of entering into a legally binding contract

  5. Have a valid and verifiable email address and mobile telephone number

  6. Provide a valid delivery address in Nigeria; and

  7. Be an authorized holder of an eligible Naira debit/MasterCard or any other card valid for payment and must have the authority to use the payment method provided.

CDCare Extended Warranty Service.

CDCare extended warranty is an assurance policy on your Gadget, a safeguard against expensive, unforeseen repairs. It covers repairs for an agreed-upon period of time and defects. It is a dealer’s warranty spanning 2 years of additional warranty to the manufacturer's warranty thereby extending the warranty period to a period of 3 years or 1 year of additional warranty to used/refurbished Gadget.. Our Extended warranty service is simply a Gadget service contract which comes at a little cost and is sold separately from the Gadget hence a buyer may choose to subscribe to the Extended Warranty Service or not.

CDCare Extended Warranty

The CDCare extended warranty is an assurance policy on your Gadget, a safeguard against expensive, unforeseen repairs. It is a dealer’s warranty spanning 2 years of additional warranty to the manufacturer's warranty that comes with a Gadget that is newly purchased thereby extending the warranty period to a period of 3 years, or 1 year of additional warranty to used/refurbished Gadget as the case may be. All Gadgets purchased via CDBuy are covered by a full manufacturer's warranty as applicable to the product being 1-year warranty for new Gadgets and 3months for used Gadgets. Buyers may however subscribe to CDCare Extended Warranty Policy to enjoy additional services.

Terms and Conditions

  1. Warranty Policy: The CDCare Extended Warranty is an additional service for periodic checks, repair, replacement of a Gadget(s) or part(s) of it and maintenance of Gadget(s) assured for an additional period of 2 years in the case of new Gadget(s) and 1 year in the case of used or refurbished Gadget(s). The warranty is in addition to the manufacturer's warranty and does not exclude or modify it in any way.

  2. Warranty policy does not cover​
    1. Damage resulting from abuse or misuse, including but not limited to the failure to use a Gadget(s) for its normal purposes or in accordance with the original manufacturer’s instructions on usage and maintenance.

    2. Damage resulting from exposure of Gadget(s) to water

    3. Broken Screen and other broken parts

  3. Criteria for subscription to CDCare Extended Warranty

    1. All Gadget(s) purchased via CDbuy are eligible for a subscription to the CDCare Extended Warranty services.

    2. Any Gadget(s) bought via any other avenue will be eligible on the following grounds:

      1. Gadget(s) will be subject to verification before the subscription can be approved

      2. The Extended Warranty service shall be for a period of 2 years in addition to the manufacturer’s warranty where the Gadget(s) is new or 1 year in addition to whatever period of manufacturer’s warranty remains unexhausted on the Gadget(s) as at the time of subscribing to the CDCare Extended Warranty where the Gadget is used/refurbished.

      3. In the case of newly purchased Gadget(s), the Gadget(s) to be assured must have the original manufacturer seal in place and must not have been opened or repaired prior to application for subscription to CDCare Extended Warranty.

    3. Upon subscription to the CDCare Extended Warranty, CDCare Warranty Seal will be put in place on the assured Gadget(s) and the same must not be broken or has been tampered with. No warranty claim will be entertained if the CDCare Warranty Seal is broken or has been tampered with.

    4. Only full payment of the premium for the Extended Warranty entitles a buyer to enjoy the Extended Warranty Services. All payments are to be made in advance and in full. No warranty claim will be entertained where payment of premium is paid in part.

  4. How to subscribe CDCare Extended Warranty

To subscribe to the Extended Warranty on the CDCare App, Subscriber is required to:

  1. .Register (if already registered then sign in) on the CDCare App 

  2. Click on the Extended Warranty Button

  3. Click on the add Button (PLEASE INSERT THE ADD ICON HERE) to get Extended Warranty for your Gadget(s)

  4. Click on ‘YES’ if you have a CDCare Warranty Code, input your warranty code and click on the proceed button (I NEED A VALID WARRANTY CODE TO COMPLETE THIS TERM)

  5. If you do not have a CDCare Warranty Code, click on ‘I DON’T HAVE A CODE’ and proceed as follows:

    1. Click on the dropdown button under ‘Choose Device Type’ to select your device type

    2. Click on the dropdown button under ‘Choose Brand’ to select your device brand type

    3. Click on the dropdown button under ‘Choose Device’ to select your device and tap on Proceed Button

    4. Input your device ‘Serial Number’, ‘Model Number’, and indicate whether the device was ‘Brand New’ or ‘Used’, the cost of the device and when you purchased the Device then click on the Proceed Button

    5. Click to accept Terms and Conditions and the Premium payable yearly will be automatically displayed

  6. Click on Pay Premium and you will be redirected to the payment gateway

  7. Enter your card details and click on pay.

5. How to make a warranty claim

To make a warranty claim, an appointment can be booked with a CDCare Service Provider using the CDCare App.  Please follow these steps to make warranty claims with CDCare:

  1.  Please log in to the CDCare App to book an appoint

  2. Provide the mandatory information which includes - Serial Number of the affected Gadget(s), Evidence that the CDCare Warranty Seal has not been tampered with or broken. Please note that no warranty claim will be entertained if the CDCare Warranty Seal has been tampered with or broken. 

  3. Provide a detailed description of the problem you are experiencing and upload a clear image(s) of the affected Gadget(s) for faster resolution.

  4. Deliver the affected Gadget(s) to the nearest CDCare Service Center or supply a pick-up address for possible pick up of the affected item by a CDCare Service Provider.

 

6. Condition for Successful Extended Warranty Claim

For an Extended Warranty Claim to be successful,

  1. The Gadget(s) assured must have the original manufacturer seal as well as the CDCare Warranty Seal in place at all relevant time (or only the CDCare Warranty Seal Seal where the item(s) has at any time been repaired by CDCare)

  2. The item(s) must not have been opened or repaired by any other person except CDCare Service Providers duly authorized by CDCare.

  3. Broken seal or repair by any other person except CDCare Service Providers duly authorized by CDCare invalidates all VALID UNEXHAUSTED WARRANTY CLAIMS be it manufacturer’s warranty or CDCare Extended Warranty.

  4. All premium to be paid on the assured item(s) for which the Extended Warranty Claim is made must have been fully paid up. No warranty claim will be entertained where payment of premium is paid in part.
